চিয়া সিড স্বাদ ও গন্ধবিহীন একটি খাবার। এটা খাওয়ার জন্য রান্না করারও দরকার হয় না। পানিতে ভিজিয়ে সহজেই খাওয়া যায় চিয়া সিড। চাইলে ওটস, পুডিং, জুস, স্মুথি ইত্যাদির সঙ্গে মিশিয়ে খেয়ে নেয়া যায়। এ ছাড়া কেউ চাইলে টকদই, সিরিয়াল, রান্না করা সবজি বা সালাদের ওপরে ছড়িয়েও খেতে পারেন।
চিয়া সিড কুসুম গরম পানিতে ২০ থেকে ৩০ মিনিট ভিজিয়ে রাখুন। সকালে খালি পেটে অথবা রাতে ঘুমানোর আগে চিয়া সিডসহ পানীয়টি পান করুন।
চাইলে স্মুথি বানিয়ে খাওয়া যায়। টক দই, চিয়া সিড ও শসা দিয়ে স্মুথি বানিয়ে বিকেলে নাশতা হিসেবে খাওয়া যেতে পারে সুপারফুডটি।
২ কাপ নারকেলের পানির সঙ্গে পছন্দের ফলের রসের সঙ্গে ২ থেকে ৩ টেবিল চামচ চিয়া বীজ দিয়ে মিশ্রণ বানিয়ে নিন। প্রয়োজনে পানিও যোগ করতে পারেন। ২০ থেকে ৩০ মিনিট রেখে খেয়ে নিন।
